Project 365 | Day 1

Project 365. Ever heard of it? Basically, its a photo a day for 365 days. One whole year. Not only is this project a great way to remember a whole year of my life, its also a great way to better my photography.

This project idea seems to be growing all the time. Some people like to stick to a theme, like a photo a day on your webcam whereas others will stick to a style, like black and white only. There are so many ways to go here and I’m super excited to be starting this new project.

My Project 365 is going to be a documentation of my life, something a did in a day, something I saw that day, a place I visited, my husband, my daughter, something I ate, something I baked, someone I photographed, a wedding, a family shoot, a baby shoot, my family, a road trip, my backyard, my bad gardening skills, a sweet couple, a pregnancy, a birth. Whatever happens that day, that’s what I’m photographing.

I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I am going to. It’ll be a learning process for me and it’ll force me be more creative, to find new and exciting ways to use light and finding interesting compositions so that my photos don’t look the same everyday (I’m home a lot!)

I’ll be posting a photo a day on our Instagram and Facebook page if you are keen to follow. And once a week there will be a blog post we that weeks photos. For today though, you only get the first day. So here we go.

Day 1:

For those of you who don’t know, this is my daughter. You are probably going to be seeing a lot of her on here. We’re pretty much together 24/7. She is 5 months old and she is a water baby of note. Bath time could easily be one of her favourite times of the day. She could sit in that tub for hours.

I hope you enjoy following me on this project. You could even join me, if you wanted to. I’d love to follow your Project 365 too.
